OMG it’s like being back at the toddler stage!

My two teens have covid. They’re ok but have to isolate in the house. (I know how fortunate we are that they’re not really ill - this is lighthearted). I’d forgotten how independent they have become but now they can’t come out of their rooms. It’s honestly like having toddlers again! Planning the next meal when one is finished, bringing drinks and snacks, doing all the clearing up, no chores being done, even tears and tantrums on occasion. There’s a reason you have toddlers in your 20s/30s and not in your 50s!
Roll on Tuesday when they get out of isolation!

Do they really need to stay in their rooms all the time?
You will have been exposed already anyway

I and a number of people I know had covid and nobody else in the house got it. It's possible to sidestep it and OP is nearly there!

I was told by test and protect to keep them to their rooms and dd1 has autism and is very rule bound!

We (dd, ds2 and I) isolated away from dh and ds1 who didn't catch covid from us so in our case it was a sensible thing to do as dh is classed as cv.

Yeah it's hard work looking after teens and being their maid. I hope the rest of their isolation goes quickly.
