OTC meds for Covid

Am back in the UK after being away for nearly 2 decades. I want to stock up on meds for the winter (Covid, flu, colds), but am out of touch with things. Can I have recommendations for brands that people have found helpful, especially for Covid?
I see Night Nurse is still around Smile. TIA

I’d just go for paracetamol or Calpol for children, if needed. I also bought soluble paracetamol, in case I struggled to swallow tablets if I had a bad cough.
Touch lots of wood, it’s not been needed for Covid.
My husband swears by Night Nurse if he’s unwell.
I also keep in immodium/loperamide for diarrhoea and Rennie tablets or Gaviscon in case of indigestion.
Ibuprofen for inflammation or toothache and I do like a bit of Deep Heat for when I get a stiff back. It stinks though!
I always keep in some Piriton, in case anyone has an allergic reaction to anything.
Oh …. don’t forget the Vick rub. A cold isn’t a cold without Vick!

Vit D tablets or supplements would be a good call for over the winter months to support immune system. We just use generic own brand ones.
Otherwise all the things prev poster said. Personally I like cold and flu relief tablets which I think contain a bit of decongestant.

Vit c and high dose as soon as cold/flu starts
Zinc
Vit d
Melatonin
NAC
We always keep cocodamol in house . The big fizzy jobbies.
Vicks . Steam with it as first sign of cold and do regular.
Calpol for the kids.
Manuka honey and cider vinegar. Put in hot water and gargle regular.

Can I ask what dose vitamin D you get in for adults? I took some high doses last year, pre Covid vaccines, based on some clinical paper I’d read. I’ve stopped taking it but wondering about re-starting again🤔
Thanks; sorry to de-rail op!

@Lupinhere37
I take 5000iu daily. Id go with anything from 2-5000iu.
Better you does a spray version you spray in your mouth kids and adult versions. Cant mind if theres one with vit k though in that range.

Thanks @Hairwizard. That’s the dose range I’d been taking. I think I’ll re-start!
