Catching within your household

If one person in your house tested positive and other household members have gone on to catch from them - how long until they/you got symptoms and a positive (and lateral or PCR?)

@PlateSpinnerJuggler kids are 2 and 5. Kids have had no symptoms at all. If I hadn't tested them I never would have known.

It's not a given the household will catch it. Ds had it but dh and I didn't.

DH tested positive with mild cold symptoms around 2.5 weeks ago. Isolated for first few days. So far no sign of me or DC having it - negative PCR taken straight after DH result, couple of negative LFTs since, zero symptoms.
