How long between being infected and symptoms showing?

Hi, I wondered what everyone's experiences with the Delta virus are - how long was it between you being infected and coming down with symptoms?

Google says up to 14 days, but often five days and "rarely" two to three days.

The only place I could have got a virus from was two to three days ago. LFT currently negative. I feel like crap though and wondering if it's Delta or a normal bug?

LFT aren't sensitive enough to rule out covid if you have it. They have a high proportion of false negatives.

Maybe do a PCR if you want to rule it out

I would do a PCR as LF tests can often give false negatives.
The earlier strains were 14 day incubation but it seems that the mutated strains have reduced incubation periods. Averaging 5 days but it is known to be as little as 2-3 days.

Dd went out with friends on a Wednesday night and started with a sore throat and headache on the Saturday afternoon. Positive lft that night then positive pcr. So 3 days here.

I read for delta a study had shown it was more like 3-5 days whereas earlier strains were longer

Thank you, I've booked a PCR test. Wondering where I picked it up, if it is indeed covid.
