I tested positive for coronavirus towards the end of July. I recovered and felt fine for about 2 weeks, then all of a sudden experienced severe abdominal pains followed my severe chest pain going down my arm. I keep getting fevers on and off, even night sweats and awful headaches where I feel spaced out and dizzy.
All my body aches even my bones, and I have no appetite consequently have lost a lot of weight.

Today I’ve also had nausea, migraine causing vision problems and diarrhoea :(
I’ve had a chest x ray which seems to have shown nothing causing my pain, and I’ve also had a gyno ultrasound to find cause of pain which again showed nothing. Had bloods done looking for infection etc whilst at A&E and no one can seem to help me. I’m getting really down about this as I haven’t been myself for a long time and I’m missing a lot of time off work

Please let me know your thoughts

It sounds very like long covid to me, although you’re still very soon after your initial infection so it won’t be classed as such yet. Do keep bothering doctors for worrying symptoms though - don’t just take our word for it. But yes, that sounds like how I was a month or two after my initial infection x hopefully you’ll be lucky and it will go quickly. I’m 18 months in here and losing the will. Sad

@Allwillbefine it’s just awful to think it’s going to stick around for a long time 😭 although my mind has been rushing round with a lot more serious conditions so if it is long COVID I will be slightly relieved. Feeling a bit better today my muscles aren’t aching as much just my left breast area feels inflamed and swollen ish. I’ve googled as it’s just above my breast and symptoms seem to agree with costocardritis

You poor thing, it sounds like crap to be experiencing, whether long Covid or not. I understand how scary it is. I think you need to behave as if it's long Covid (i.e. get lots of rest initially, though later on you'll be able to build up activity again - but not too soon or too fast), while also getting checked out for anything else.

Your GP can refer you directly for an echocardiogram. That's an ultrasound of your heart and can show if there is any damage from Covid (very rare but no harm in checking).

How severe is your pain? Does it interfere with sleeping?
