If DS tests positive on PCR which I suspect he will - would you isolate?

Both DS have a cough and feel unwell, LFT coming back negative but took them for a PCR today as they have symptoms, both have had a single vaccine. Hopefully PCR will come back negative and they just have a different bug. I am a worrier and if they test positive will keep a very low profile even though I do not need to isolate as double vaccinated. But my question is that I work for myself and should be working at the weekend where I will be working with other people -staff and customers. If I continue to test every day negative as I have been so far would you continue to work outside of the home. It is not a job I can do wfh. I'm torn. please be gentle my anxiety is bad at the best of times

If you are working at the weekend get a pcr test on thursday and then you will know for sure.

My 18 year old had it a couple of weeks ago, no I didn't isolate. I am double vaccinated and I had covid about 7 weeks ago though

Thanks everyone - there’s no requirement for me to isolate I get that and work wise I would be letting clients down massively if i can’t get a grip ! I just wish I could be carefree and just crack on

@lunar1

DH and I are in agreement that if someone in our household tests positive we will isolate. I don't agree with the policy change on this.
@lunar1 the trouble is some of us don't have that luxury. I'm a sitting duck and thinking of placing a bet on when I'll get it! I'll potentially be in contact with loads of children who could have a parent at home with covid, most teachers are just waiting to get it 🤷🏼‍♀️

The good news is that PCR came back negative and all Lfts have been negative. He must have a chest infection as coughing so much
Terrible that with any bug we jump to covid
