Has anyone been checked on in person during self isolation?

Just that really, just wondering what the odds are of us having an in person visit during our self isolation? We all feel pretty rough and not well enough to move from the sofa so idle curiosity rather than hatching an escape plan!

Who carries out the visits?

We’ve had a couple of well-being phone calls.

Nope except for track and trace not a call nor a visit which is fine by me.

Tinkerbellfluffyboots79 · 30/08/2021 10:37

Felt really rough too. Mostly fine now but hope you’re all feeling better soon!!!

None here. I had 3 phone calls about me and only one phone call about DS.

dancingthroughthedark · 30/08/2021 10:39

My neighbour had a man come to her door to check on them when they were isolating but that was a few months ago

123rd · 30/08/2021 10:40

We had the initial call to tell us we had to SI but didn't hear anything else

Bubbublish · 30/08/2021 10:41

I came out of hospital to two letters put through the letterbox so someone came round twice. After my isolation period ended the phone calls stopped

Twilightstarbright · 30/08/2021 10:52

@Bubbublish what did the letters say?

Don't the NHS know when you're in hospital?
Bubbublish · 30/08/2021 11:11

The first letter was dated the same day I went into hospital so they obviously came after I'd left home.

No idea why they didn't know I was in hospital, such a waste of resources!

The letter starts

Dear resident,

We are visiting you as part of the (local council name) council's COVID-19 Response Services who are supporting the NHS Test and Trace . . .

I can't type it all, it's to much

I'm happy to put a screen shot up here if it helps but not sure how to do that, if someone can tell me what to do

Bubbublish · 30/08/2021 11:12

Meant to say

No idea why they didn't know I was in hospital the second visit, such a waste of resources!

We had covid marshalls visit as my son was in quarantine after returning from Spain last week. During this period I also saw them walking up and down our road a couple of times. We are in the North West.

bert3400 · 30/08/2021 11:24

I had a visit from Track & Trace when I flew in from Spain for less than 24hours. I had lots of calls mainly once I had returned home to Spain and then about 5 days after I got back home some bloke turned up at my mum's house to make sure I wasn't there, unfortunately he was a bit useless and didn't know how to use his software on his computer and my dad had to help in, which is very laughable as my dad is useless with tech Confused

I was visited a couple of days ago as I had just come back from Europe! Since then only phone calls.

Aliwali77 · 30/08/2021 20:55

We had a visit from the council. I gave track and trace the wrong mobile number for my son so we hadn’t answered their calls. Even though we tried to do it all over the phone when they called me and my other son, but they said they couldn’t do that.
