Has it helped you stop eating for the sake of it? I am currently isolating as I tested positive for covid on Sunday. My smell and taste only went on Tuesday and I'm finding it a struggle to even eat anything as I can't taste a thing. I have been living on soup. Previous to this I would eat and eat just for the sake of it. Has anyone found that this has changed post covid?

Very happy To have found this thread! I’m day 7 and lost my taste at about day 3 after testing positive. It was so weird, I was drinking ginger and lemon tea and thought it felt so watered down, then I had a a bit of fruit and there was no taste, then I sniffed my coffee jar and it smelled of nothing! Washing my hands, making food, hanging out laundry all has 0 smell, Such a weird sensation. :( Feeling loads better now but smell is non existent and taste too, I miss eating and drinking my delicious fruit green tea there’s is absolutely no more joy in any consumption. I’m 26weeks pg so I’m conscious that I still need to eat but It’s only when my stomach is rumbling and I feel faint that I feel the need to eat food.

I'm on around day 14 and can report that I successfully smelled a citrus cleaning wipe today!
I can also taste wine and peanuts again Grin

Not sure if it is just coincidence or not ladies but the day I got my smell back I was making vegetable soup & opened the steaming hot lid and when the stream hit my face I got my first proper "smell" I wonder if the heat attributed to me getting mines back so early? Worth a try if anyone wants to give it a go. My daughter has her taste but very limited smell and she tested positive before me so I'm going to make soup this week and try getting her to smell it x
