If your child had Covid, was there anything that made you think "yes, that's different to a usual cold"?

My two had if recently (6 and 2), not a single symptom between them! Was tough being a little bit ill with the two of them home full time, not allowed out and operating at 150mph from the moment their eyes opened on a morning

No not really, my son had covid at the start of the summer holidays, he complained of a sore throat and i tested him on an a lft which was positive, it was confirmed by a pcr test a couple of days later, he felt rough for a couple of days but was fine after that, tbh if it wasent for the pandemic i would have just given him a couple of paracetamol and wouldnt have been unduly worried.

Nope. DD1 was grumpy as hell for 2-3 days. Nothing else. DD2 had a heavy cold.

My kids tested positive but had no symptoms. Only tested them because I had a positive test. They have so much energy they are bouncing off the walls while we are stuck in self isolation.

Nope. My Ds mentioned how had a bit of a sore throat. We only tested him because me and his dad were positive. He never mentioned his throat again and ate, drank, played as usual

Nope, dd(9) currently has it and is over the worst now. She had a headache for a few days, a stuffy nose and a bit of a sore throat. She was up and about playing in the day, but got tired quickly in the evening. Pre-covid I'd have right nothing of it and sent her to school and her activities. She has been much more ill with child in the past. We only knew she had it because I tested her with a lateral flow which was positive, confirmed by pcr.

Ill with a cold. Not Ill with child

Mine had one episode of diarrhoea and a slight (like once/twice) throat clearing type episode. I only swabbed her ‘cos her class were already off isolating and I thought I better had as it was rife in her class.

She had achey legs for a couple of nights after that, that was it. Without the connection to already isolating from school I would never have swabbed her. Her symptoms were so mild and she’s had similar multiple times before (pre-covid times).

My 11 year old had a fever for a couple of days, cough, red eyes, headache, vomiting and tiredness. So fairly poorly, in bed for a few days. My 7 year old had no symptoms. Both had caught it from DH.

Mine currently has Covid and has had 3 nosebleeds. Not sure if it's related but he's never had nosebleeds before.
