Anyone with Covid reinfection?

Since vaccines show reduced effectiveness against Delta compared to earlier variants, I wonder if you know of cases of reinfection with Delta? How was the symptom severity in the first versus second bout of Covid? I am curious about it as I think everyone is likely to be reinfected with new Covid variant every year or two unless vaccine boosters do keep up with new variants arising :(.

I'd be interested to know about this too. Also if anyone has caught covid a second time after been double jabbed and having previously had covid

I had covid for the first time in December. I was quite unwell with a temperature, loss of smell and a severe cough that lasted a month.
I had the Pfizer vaccine in February and the second jab in April, then I tested positive again in June. The second time the symptoms were milder but with more congestion and a very sore throat. I was contacted and told that it was the Delta variant. Since the second infection I have not properly recovered but don't know if it is too soon to call it long covid. I am permanently fatigued and get much more breathless. I find it very difficult to wear a mask now (when I didn't find it difficult before my second bout).

DD's friend got it in November she was quite poorly with it. She got it again the other week, only knew she was positive as she works in care. Had hay fever symptoms and was better after a couple of days. She was doubled jabbed with AZ early this year.

My manager had it last March, fairly unwell with long Covid though not hospitalised.

Has been double jabbed and just had it again. Like a very bad cold - she looked quite rough but worked from home throughout so wasn't as ill as the flu.

I believe we'll all catch it eventually as Delta is so highly transmissible and it's not possible to get herd immunity.

It's just that those of us who are fully vaccinated won't (usually) be seriously ill.

I do feel for those who know the vaccine hasn't worked for them or suspect it won't have due to other issues.
