Hi. I’m an NHS nurse looking to hear from mums who developed COVID antenatal, during labour or post natal. I want to learn more about how you coped, what you were told, how you felt? Most importantly how are you and your baby?

Secondly, did any new mums require their other half to isolate shortly after giving birth!? Tell me more about being alone with a new-born and your COVID concerns.

No judgement, just want to learn more.

A relative of mine caught covid whilst in hospital having her baby and brought it home to the family. Her ward was isolated as a lady on it tested positive - she felt the nurses were not interested in her - no one would enter the ward post baby being born. She felt abandoned.

In the end another relative had to ring the ward on her behalf to ask for her to be sent home. Of course she brought covid home so now she and her partner had it. Very stressful time. Very little communication and had the relative not called the ward then the mother doesn't know what would have happened as no one was entering the ward!
