I try to follow them and educate myself about their ideas but now that ‘Zero Covid’ seems to be completely impossible, I’m unclear on what their next aim would be?

Every time I start to feel positive and like we are on the way out of this crisis one of them comes up with a thread pointing out how dangerous things still are.. I can’t work out if they’re heavily biased or if they’re talking a lot of sense and I need to manage my expectations better!

Probably more pearl clutching and social media groupjerk backpatting?

I haven't watched their briefing for a bit, but I'd guess vaccinating kids and ventilating schools would feature. And encouraging people to wear masks and socially distance.

I would guess they probably want to suggest policies and measure which result in people behaving in a way which minimises the negative effects of a pandemic on society.

Vaccinating kids 12+ Would be a good start. DD is going into year 11 and should not have her education disrupted just because the government are dithering, yet again. If schools are closed again I will be so annoyed.
