Can't currently access NHS app as moved surgery

Hoping somebody can help.

I recently moved GP surgery. I am doubled jabbed and have previously used the NHS app to access proof of my vaccination status. These 'certificates,' a QR code, are valid for 30 days then you need to renew. Mine expires on August 21st.

When I tried to get on the NHS app again this week, the app said I couldnt access my details due to moving GP and that I would need some codes from the GP to access my account.

I went into my GP to register for its online services, as this is the way to get the codes apparently. I didn't ask how long it takes to register, just filled in some forms and gave my photo ID.

I have some music festivals at the end of August which require either the vaccination 'certificate' the QR code, or a negative test, which must also be logged on the NHS app. My current proof of vaccination will be expired by then.

Has anybody else recently moved GP surgery and done this? How long did it take for you to be able to re-log on to the NHS app and was it straightforward? I'm worried that as I was an existing user of the NHS app that it might 'confuse' the system, which is already complicated.

This was the message from the app. The surgery did not give me any codes though as it required me to sign up for its online services first.

I emailed my new gp surgery with a copy and paste of the message in the app. They replied the next day and I was able to log in.

I was given the codes via 3 email messages and then it worked again.
