Why does my mother’s covid pass only have 3 days validity

Spent a very painful evening guiding my elderly mother through the joys of setting up the NHS app on her phone and the Bally covid pass QR thing came out with only 2 days validity. I thought it wa a meant to be 30 days - mine was.

Does anyone know why and how to prevent this?

They’re valid for 30 days if based on vaccination status or having a positive test but 48 hours if based on having a negative test www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/covid-pass/
If she’s been vaccinated is it showing that on the app? It sounds like something has gone wrong with the data feeding through if she has.

Can't help about the app expiry date, sorry. But in case it would help and provide extra reassurance for your mum, you can also request your official proof of vaccine letter is sent through the post. Mine took about a week to arrive after applying.

I got my parents the letter because I didn't think they'd manage the app.
