Countries who won't accept AZ vaccinated?

Is this because it's not approved there yet or some other reason? (I.e. is it likely to change) I was hoping to book a holiday abroad for myself and my dc next year, it's a lot of money to me which I haven't been able to afford while they were growing up so I dont want to waste it going somewhere we wont enjoy. I'm double jabbed, dd has yet to be but it wont be AZ as she's still a teen. Ds had the AZ just before they stopped giving it to younger people (he's early 20s), so what is the solution? I'd really like to be able to take them abroad as a family before they go off to do their own thing. Ds hasn't been since he was a toddler so can't remember it and dd has never been. Forgive my ignorance, I dont research anything about it anymore, all the conflicting information just overwhelms me.

Isn’t it just certain batch numbers of AZ? Because they were manufactured in India and weren’t licensed for EU travel or something, because it was never a priority travel region there.

it was certain batches of AZ and now almost all countires accept it - it was a liceince issue that's all as the indian vaccine covishield hadnt applied for approval in all countries. Now almost all accept inc spain france and greece (may even be all)

Interesting. In a year's time we don't know what the immunity levels will be - maybe the RNA vaccines will linger but I believe there will be boosters this autumn for many. So I've no idea if planning for next year on the basis of immunity that may have faded makes sense. But BJ has made it all about getting "your jab" with little regard to immunological responses (people seem surprised/disappointed they can still get covid after having their shot)

This has nothing to do with AZ and it being inferior or whatever
Some batches were made in India and were 'seen' by some countries as being Covishield because of they country of origin. As covishield hadn't applied for EU approval, some countries stopped these batches initially even though they were never covishield. It was all sorted a couple weeks back. Most countries approved covishield and others realised the 2 things were very different

It was purely a paperwork issue
