Chances of Turkey making the amber list

Is anyone else crossing their fingers for a positive outcome this week when the travel lists are reviewed?

What do you think the chances of Turkey making the amber list are?

We’ve already moved our holiday to next year 😭.

It’s just so ridiculous when we are plague island to worry about where we can travel to. It’s the other countries who should worry about us travelling to them imo!

I think at the moment, I'd be concerned about the wildfires in Turkey.

Are you anywhere near them?

It's horrid isn't it? The not knowing. I'd love a holiday but I just can't book anything as I'd hate to have to cancel.

We aren’t going until September so hopefully the fires will be under control then.

I did worry about it being insensitive to be looking forward to a holiday when some have lost so much. However, I have been speaking to some of my friends out there and they are desperate for the U.K. tourists to come over and were urging me not to cancel. I think we might not have a choice though.

I agree it’s just so upsetting.

Hope so for their sake. I was there last August and had a lovely time - first time ever visiting Turkey. Would love to go back.

Does anyone know what time the travel review is issued please? Is it 5pm as usual?

Well it looks like turkey isn’t going amber. They’ve also put my second choice of Mexico on the red list.

I think I’ll give up now and just stay in my house.
