Anyone done a PCR recently? Just wondering how long before results.

Mine was 8am. I have a meeting tomorrow with a very vulnerable person and don't want to cancel yet if there is a chance of it coming back negative later today. But I do want to give sufficient notice.

Any chance it coming back today I am wondering.

dd2 last week, 16 hours walk in.
dh sunday,postal 36 hours from posting negative.
me yesterday, postal 16 hours from posting negative.

It should come back today.

My son had one at 11am on Sunday, results were 8am yesterday (Monday).

I had one at 9am yesterday and I got the results just after 5pm the same day. I'm not sure if it's because I'm a keyworker or if they're just really efficient.

9am walk in, results back just after midnight.

I did a postal one on DS last week. It got collected at 5.30pm on the Tuesday and we had the results back just before 3pm Wednesday

Thanks all, I think I will have to cancel the meeting then. Shame, but better than last minute.

I had mine 11am yesterday and got my (positive) result at 5am today.

I've known people whose results took up to 5 days though I think most people hear back the next day.

We had 4 pcr tests yesterday at 12:30 and had the results (1 positive and 3 negative) by 8:00 this morning. I expected them when I woke up at 6:50 (based on prior experience) but they didn’t come in till 8.

Had 3 PCRs yesterday at 0915, results were back at 2am this morning. Unfortunately 2/3 (the DCs) were positive

Had one at 10am yesterday at Walmart on site- results back at 11pm last night

3 PCRs done in my household (always at the same drive through location), done early morning or Midday. Results always received at around 6am the following day.

I had mine in less than 12 hours!
