Anyone been to the theatre since restrictions lifted?

I somewhat naively thought that going to the theatre in London would be ok. When I booked, the restrictions in place meant that people would be socially distanced and masks would be worn throughout the performance. Of course restrictions have lifted now. Every seat was full and hardly anyone was wearing masks. What with singing, dancing, cheering there has to have been Covid aerosols. I am double vaccinated and wore a mask throughout but the people behind, in front and sitting next to me weren’t. Now waiting with interest (and some trepidation) to see if I have caught it.

Yes, went 9 days ago. Haven't caught Covid. Not double vaxxed.

No but I'm going in September for my birthday. Cannot wait! Would go earlier if I could.

It was fantastic to be back. I’ve missed it so much as I used to go every other month and I really wanted to support the actors. The atmosphere was amazing and everyone was so reactive to the show.
It only really hit me during the interval when I realised that very few people were wearing masks and it was getting really hot. Literally a week earlier, people were made to prove they were vaccinated and tested to go to an open air sports event so I did feel that I may have thrown caution to the wind. I went last Tuesday and did a LFT today which was negative. Fingers crossed as I can’t wait to go again

This was Just Fantastic, I completely recommend it, and very reasonable too. www.tlcm.co.uk/

I have. About 50% of the people were unmasked. Not much I can do about it , but then I take the tube almost daily anyway! Am double vaxxed so am just getting on with things.

I have. Three quarters of the audience wore masks. The show was a sell out so no distancing at all. The atmosphere was electric - performers and audience clearly so thrilled to be back.

I went last week in London. There was social distancing in place with one empty seat between each group of people, and plenty of empty seats in addition to that. One of the staff stood during the interval holding a sign asking people to wear masks, though most were wearing masks already. It all felt very safe to us, and was a good night.

My son did a week ago.. Heathers....he said it was great. He hasn't developed Covid, and only single vaxed so far

Againstmachine · 01/08/2021 18:57

Stop worrying majority of people at your performance haven't got covid and chances of catching are tiny.

Been to a musicians project a couple of months ago
Was lovely.
There was social distancing but I should imagine it’s gone now

Been to the cinema a few times.. that’s been great
No one pressing for masks

Yesterday was at a music festival. Lovely and relaxed
No masks, no t and t , no one hectoring you of which way to go, where to sit/ stand
Life felt really normal
Music was amazing

I’m quite relaxed about things being normal but even I raised an eye brow when the band suggested everyone did a huge conga

It was great fun 😂
