No quarantine for EU or US visitors - Does that include us? What about Amber Plus?

I'm confused!! If EU and US visitors can come here from Monday without quarantine - Do we still have to quarantine when we come back from France as it is Amber plus?

I'll be cross if that is so as I cancelled my French holiday in August only last week as we were told we would have to isolate when we get back. I lost my villa money and my ferry crossing.

It should include us but it won't I'm sure given this government's track record.

According to The Guardian, "the only exception is for people arriving from France, who still have to quarantine on arrival."

Whether this is correct or not, I'm not sure, but there are rumours that France will be removed from Amber Plus soon anyway.

France is still amber plus according to gov.uk. Completely nuts. Hopefully will change at the next update but will come too late in the summer for most people.

The next traffic light review is due the end of next week I think.

Is there an option to uncancel, if you lost your money anyway?

It was being described as people who are double vaccinated, having their EU/US vaccinations treated in the same way as UK ones. ie brining people who had their vaccinations in EU/US into line with those who had their vaccinations in the UK.

And not applying to France which is amber plus.
