Hi, I guess I'm just looking for reassurance here and people's experiences. He's on day 11 of Covid and went into hospital yesterday when his oxygen sats went to 95%. He has typically bad Covid lungs apparently, no infection. He's asthmatic. This morning his sats were 92%. His treatment yesterday was set as nebuliser, dexomethasone, and oxygen when necessary. Obviously we're not allowed to visit and are really worried.

@OneLitreOfWater - guess it might be too early to know how your DS is today? Really hope he had a good night. For what it’s worth my DS is shrugging off my concern, he doesn’t seem too bad but am keeping an eye on him, and I think he would be exactly the same as yours, doesn’t matter how adult they think they are, they are still our babies💐

@Fastforwardtospring Thanks for asking! His sats yesterday afternoon were 95 and he had them done this morning at 5:30 and he doesn't know what they were but thinks they weren't good due to being told to take a deep breath in. Obviously know more after the doc has been round. He's struggling mentally and feels vulnerable Sad I did read some of the ZOE research info and the more symptoms in the first week leads to more problems and my ds had a lot of them so if yours doesn't have too many it might all be okay. Day 5 was the first day I called 111 and it was almost daily from then so obviously worsening in hindsight but never anything that said needs help rather than rough time with Covid til Monday.

I think Gin might be more helpful to you than Flowers @OneLitreOfWater. Not at this time in the morning though!

Sending positive vibes that your DS improves and has a better day, and you take care of yourself.

SAts 95 isn't too bad, try not to worry - they weren't admitting people at that last year for context.

Hopefully his body will sort its self out in the next 48 hours or so. Sending love

Please update when you know more @OneLitreOfWater - I know when my asthmatic DD had stints in hospital oxy stats of 95 were getting better. I just feel for these poor kids mental health, within the last 6/7weeks, my DS has had 2 close contact isolations and now another because he has Covid, 30 days, he’s a sociable soul, now he’s confined to his room.

Well thanks again everyone for keeping me sane Flowers And Grin at litre of gin suggestion!

Good news! The doctor has recommended he can come home, but can be readmitted immediately if he has anymore breathlessness. We are so happy and he is so very relieved.
