What happens if you get your jab while actively infected with covid?

This has just happened to me. Had my second jab on Friday. Took a PCR test on Sunday, it’s positive.

Does that make my vaccine void?!

Have you got symptoms? Maybe phone 111 and ask for advice.

Also, the people at the vaccine centre may be to know as they'll be close contacts.

Our friend had his second jab whole suffering a chest infection. He ended up in hospital with pneumonia. He was silly though and was ill when had the jab.

I have symptoms now but didn’t have them when I had the jab on Friday. But I guess I would have been incubating in that window.

I’ll try 111. Thanks @Girlmama3

It’s no problem. PHE’s guidance covers this. See P25 of this. www.gov.uk/government/publications/covid-19-vaccination-programme-guidance-for-healthcare-practitioners

Hope you feel better soon. Flowers
