Can we go on holiday anywhere now?

Just been looking online, so many celebrities on the amalfi coast, on yachts in the south if France etc

Im jealous as hell but anyway...can ordinary folks travel these places if we want?

Is there any difference, apart from the mega bucks?

I cant afford to get abroad even without covid so really have no clue about travel now

If your double jabbed and they will let you in you can travel anywhere on green or Amber list with no quarantine. Amber plus or red means you still have to quarantine.

Also wonder what the rules are with Americans going abroad

why torture yourself over what other people are doing?
These rich/famous/powerful types spend their ways out of things, have people to do the donkey work for them

Americans are allowed to go abroad and return to the US without quarantining on return if they are double jabbed. Non-US citizens are not permitted into the US if they've been in the UK in the last 14 days as travel from the UK is banned except for US citizens. They have recently recommended that American citizens do not travel to the UK at all as our rates are so high.

Italy has a 5 day quarantine in place for Brits, not for people from the US though. I think the main thing is a lot of normal people can’t risk the cost or inconvenience of travel quarantine/needing to self-isolate to go on holiday for a week.

I’ve had to postpone my wedding because of the question marks over travel.. not bitter seeing celebs in Rome/Venice/Amalfi at all. Nope 🙃
