Anyone experienced this side effect from AZ or is it just peri menopause??

Background - age 46, periods every 28ish days, probably once per year had a late period (40+ Days). Only ever had hot flushes when unwell.

First jab all fine, had two periods in between 1st and second jab, both on time.

Second jab - period was due within days of having it. 50 days later I haven’t had a period.
From the night of the second jab I started to have debilitating hot flushes/night sweats. Initially thought it was immune response but from absolutely no symptoms to 3 or 4 sweats during the night. Now they’re coming during the day as well. Classic peri menopause sweats combined with no/late period but does peri menopause come on that quickly? There was absolutely no lead in to it, just crashed in without warning.

No other peri menopausal symptoms like mood swings etc.

I had exactly this but with Pfizer. First jab January, last jab April. Totally regular periods before. I had a period in March and then nothing after that. So March-July no period. Started having hot flushes during this time. Suddenly 3 weeks ago period arrived....and hasn't stopped since. Flushes have stopped. I'm 49. No idea if this is vaccine related or not

The timing really does seem strange. I was hopeful that my periods were gone for good but sadly not.

Me! 2 AZ jabs, periods and peri caper all over the shop since. I’m 52 and prior to jabs regular as clockwork

Me too. 2 AstraZeneca 54. Never been regular but no symptoms prior to jabs at all. Suddenly night sweats progressing into hot flushes during the day. This happened literally out of the blue too. No other symptoms.

Same age as you and same after my first AZ which I had in February, period in March and then no period again until last week, first time this has happened. I actually thought maybe the menopause had started.

Hard to really know though as you say, peri/menopause or jab?

The vaccine interferes with periods.

Similar age to you. First AZ jab had hot flushes after every night, having had none before other than odd one in day due to heat but weather was cool at that time. Had a light period fairly normal timing then 2 weeks later another period. Normally periods are regular but have been irregular so could be coincidence. Also a lump in breast came on immediately after first. 2nd jab and hot flushes after as well.

It's hard to know if its vaccine or peri-menopause could be either but I wouldn't be amazed if it caused hormonal changes. Though due to age couldn't say either way.

Yeah I knew that periods were affected @AddsVsGeorgs but not about flushes etc, which was what I was really asking.
