What we're the very first signs?

Woken up today with a tight feeling in my chest and feeling like a cough is coming on but I have no other symptoms at all.

Cough seems chesty rather than dry.

Worrying now, obviously will test ASAP.

Anyone else have this as an early symptom?

What other very first symptoms did people have?

Were not we're. I did grammar at school, autocorrect did not.

My first symptom was really bad body ache. Thought this was a reaction to the vaccine I'd had the day before... then feeling like a head cold - heaviness in ears and sinus. Then fever.

Not had much of a cough at all, but when I do it is dry.

But frustratingly, everyone is different.

It's different for everyone so it's very hard to tell.

I had aching knees and a feeling of blocked ears. Earache actually went on to be one of my worst symptoms which I don't think is very common.

It's such a strange virus. It presents very differently in different people.

Headache, tight chest, fever, diarrhoea

I had a headache, then next day a cough, the day after I was in hospital on oxygen for a week.
My little girl had a temp for an hour and that was it.
My partner had 'wobbly' legs for a day.
It really is so different for everyone xx

Aching joints, headache and a hoarse voice. Then the loss of taste and smell. That was it really.

Headache and tight chest first few days. On day 10 now and feeling awful still

Last Sunday afternoon I felt very tired and just couldn't be bothered to do anything. All I wanted to do was just doze (which I did)

Monday morning I woke up with a banging head, sore throat and muscle aches in my back. Took a LFT which was positive. Had PCR the same day which was also positive. Wednesday I felt better apart from my headache (which went with painkillers), but that's when I lost my sense of smell. Now my smell is coming back and my headaches are a lot milder.

I've had one vaccine so far (was booked for second yesterday, but had to delay due to positive test)

I had a headache but this isn’t uncommon for me so not sure if it was a symptom. Woke up with a sore throat and blocked nose and tested positive on LFT then confirmed with PCR

Slightly raised temperature (but we were in a heatwave). Very slight tickly cough (but I'd just been out for a walk and have very mild hayfever). Only tested because the people I'd been with a few days before were all feeling ill.

Earache, constant sneezing and runny nose were my first very early signs! Earache to the degree that I went to the doctors for antibiotics as thought had ear infection. Then got every symptom under the sun for weeks after.
