Travel for vaccine for 12 yo

Has anyone considered travelling to another country to get their child vaccinated? We are US citizens permanently residing in the UK. My DD(12) could get the vaccine in the States. I know tourists can get the Pfizer vaccine in Dubai. Has anyone else toyed with the idea of travelling to get your kids vaccinated? The rumour is that the JCVI have not given the green light for 12-17 yr olds to get the vaccine because they don't have enough, and what supplies they do have must go to cv/cev children or children living with cv/cev family.

Given how low the health risk is for 12 year olds I wouldn't bother.

Why would you though? The vaccine is riskier for this age group than catching the virus.

No it isn't. Or, find a link from a reputable publication that says that. You might be some time.

they are not making it very easy here even for immunosuppressed teens from shielding families to get vaccinated

Tell me about it!

Two month wait to get the first shot in, and further difficulties getting the second at 8 weeks.

Remember that unless you go to a country that has J&J you'll need to hang around for 3 weeks to get get the part 2, and I'm not sure you count as fully vaccinated until at least 2 weeks after the course is completed.
