Covid app isolation period. Please help if you have been pinged by the app

My parents have been pinged and have to isolate for 3 days - but there is no end date displayed on their app. Please could anyone who has been pinged by the app give me an idea if it’s 3 more full days or three days including today? There’s a holiday in the balance here, can we go on Monday or will we have to wait til Tues? Obviously assuming they remain symptom free / clear of covid.

I was pinged on Wednesday for 6 days and it says it ends on Monday at 23:59 - so I think the day count includes the day you were pinged on.

Just go on the holiday… it’s not a legally enforceable requirement anyway.

@TuesdayRuby I know it’s not but they don’t want to ‘break the law’ so we’re thinking of going on as planned (Sat) but them joining us on Monday am rather than Saturday pm. It’s UK self-catering so joining us later on shouldn’t be a problem.

@macshoto Dad has just restarted the app and found somewhere where it shows the date and you’re right, they’re out of isolation 2359 on Sun. Family holiday therefore only delayed by 36hrs - phew!
