Scared of the future

Is anyone struggling with the current situation? I'm not coping with it anymore. Every news headline gives me palpitations, it's never ending. Our lives are in such a mess. I really can't cope anymore. I'm glad we are no longer in lockdown but the future seems so uncertain.

@Mantlemoose I definitely don't feel that! But it just shows doesn't it what the impact is, and it affects us all differently.

I'm not scared of covid. I'm absolutely terrified of the government.

It’s getting that way isn’t it? We have certainly been mis-sold the benefits of the vaccine in many, many ways.
ineedaholidaynow · 23/07/2021 01:03

Surely everything would be a lot worse if we didn’t have the vaccine @RoseRedRoseBlue

I’m sure I wouldn’t like to be in a country that didn’t have the vaccine or healthcare

Oh don’t get me wrong, it’s an amazing development and I am double jabbed. What I mean is, it was oversold in terms of what it would mean relative to a ‘normal life‘ and returning to how we were.

Yes, and I'm now quite angry because in conversations a few months back, on here and in real life, anyone (like me) who dared suggest vaccines were not the magic solution was shouted down.

Vaccines help hugely and I'm very grateful for them, but they don't remove the problem totally.

UK is too keen to ignore science.

MarshaBradyo · 23/07/2021 07:09

They don’t remove the problem totally no.

But they may remove the need for restrictions which is huge. To me it’s the lockdowns which are massive but I know we’ll still have hospitalisation so expectations weren’t that they’d fix everything.

We’ll see. The four month part is very short for Pfizer but we’ll start to see in US and here soon what is going on.
