Just that really, hopefully we can get something last minute this year but as travel rules change daily I've given up looking for the time being.

But what about next summer, anyone booking?

@DazedandConcerned

I’m booked for Christmas 2021 in Egypt. I also have Ibiza and Egypt booked for 2022.

I have been on holiday three times during the pandemic. July 2020 to Rhodes, December 2020 to Hurghada and July 2021 to Ibiza.

You are super I want this

We’ve booked a U.K. break for August 2022

MintyCedric · 22/07/2021 18:47

Booked months ago, albeit in the UK but is around an event I want to attend near a lovely cottage I've stayed in before so did it well in advance.

I can't bloody wait!

PuffinShop · 22/07/2021 21:31

I would recommend last minute bookings if you want to go abroad. It's worked well for us to seize the opportunity as soon as travel becomes possible, been able to squeeze in several trips which wouldn't have been possible or so easy a few weeks later.
Hopefully it'll be possible to plan ahead more by then but I have stopped thinking so far in advance for now. I know that's not feasible for all circumstances but it's a good tactic if you can.

We booked Turkey for May half term 2022 back in April this year
It’s since gone up £700
I’m still sort of sceptical as to whether we’ll be able to go or not so I’m not paying any more than the deposit until I absolutely have to

Terrazzo · 22/07/2021 21:36

Yes we booked a while ago, Mousses in Greece. Weird name! But apparently it’s nice! DH is in charge of the holidays 😄🤷🏻‍♀️

Teddytraveller2 · 22/07/2021 21:47

I run my own independent travel business and constantly need something to look forward to. I’m off to Kos in 3 weeks fingers crossed. We’ve all had covid in the the house and hoping the PCR fit to travel certificates are good to go.

rookiemere · 23/07/2021 08:07

Will have this summer's Majorca flights to carry forward which were originally flights to Gatwick in Summer 2020 to get us to Costa Rica.

Am thinking will maybe book long weekend in Dubrovnik- DS will be 16 so only wants to go on good holidays or with relatives as well as ourselves.

I was so confident this Summer would be back to normal, but as it's not I don't particularly want to get my hopes up or waste money on big trips for 2022.

I've booked a week in Lanzarote February 2022, we live in France so I'm hoping travel within the EU will be easier than EU-UK 🤞🏻

We’ve booked a week in St Ives, 10 nights in Greece & 3 weeks in Barbados next year. I really hope they come off

I am super jealous of this. That would be all my annual leave used up.

Pretty much my ideal list of destinations too!

VoyageInTheDark · 23/07/2021 09:39

I haven't dared book a uk holiday for next year yet in case we're in lockdown again. Might have to look if things are getting booked up though! Missed out on a holiday this year as we have a newborn

TheGenealogist · 23/07/2021 10:14

We've already booked for Menorca at the start of July. Haven't been abroad since summer 2019.

sol7 · 23/07/2021 10:18

We have a ferry credit note from last year that is valid for 2 years so hoping to use that to go to France. I am a bit worried though because DD will be 12 and currently some European countries are saying over 12's must be vaccinated. Hopefully the situation will have changed by next year, or 12 year olds here will have been offered the vaccine.

FizziWater · 23/07/2021 14:37

@MmeCamenbert I'd love a week in Lanzarote in February! We often go at that time of year for a little winter sun, I will look at booking after Christmas if things look ok.

Willwebebuyingnumber11 · 23/07/2021 14:40

@everythingthelighttouches thank you! My cousin is getting married in Greece, hopefully, and Barbados is thanks to a few cancellations over the last 2 years so thought we would go all out!

Stillgoings · 25/07/2021 16:05

I've just booked an all inc holiday to Tenerife in August 2022. It's my 14 year olds dream holiday. Hope we get to go. We are just back from a.week in Norfolk and I feel very lucky that we got to go as the weather was wonderful and it was beautiful. Would never be that lucky with the weather again though and I find that UK breaks go with your money much more...

palacegirl77 · 25/07/2021 16:08

Our holiday to Portugal was booked in January 20 for October 20. That was move to October 21 and is now moved to October 22. Dont know if it will ever happen to be honest but at least we havent lost money, for now!

MaryShelley1818 · 25/07/2021 16:26

We have Balaerics booked for September 2021 - if the flight still goes we'll be on it!
CenterParcs later on in the year.

Then Disneyland Paris for 5 days next year, and Barcelona for 5 days later in summer.

PuzzledObserver · 25/07/2021 16:46

I’ve never been one for booking very far ahead - I tend to book time off work to make sure I fit my holiday in, then look for the actual holiday nearer the time…. booking with 10 weeks to go would be advance planning for me.

However, I have just retired - hurrah! So I’ll just see how it goes, and we’ll look for something when we are good and ready, probably fairly last minute to,reduce the chance of things changing on us.

gvb8 · 25/07/2021 17:05

@Stillgoings where have you booked in Tenerife if you don't mind saying? I've been looking to book there for Oct 2022 but it's been a long time since we visited Tenerife and I don't know where to start!

Stillgoings · 25/07/2021 17:30

@gvb8 I went with the Bahia principe Sunlight Costa Adeje. I haven't been to Tenerife before so might have got it all wrong but basically I'd heard that Adeje was nice and this came up at a good price and the pool looks lovely and the reviews are good. I can see now that its quite a way out of town but I think it looks really nice

72WayTooCool · 25/07/2021 18:51

Hoping to go to the Algarve in October. It was booked in Jan 2020, moved to May 2021, then moved again to Oct 2021. Don't think we'll go to be honest, but everything can be shifted again. The problem we have is that we have a big trip booked to Australia in Oct 22 which uses all my annual leave, so unless we move it to somewhere else before April 2022, it'll have to be shifted to 2023!

Cheesypasta · 25/07/2021 19:07

Haven't booked yet but reading this I'm thinking I should start looking and /or book another UK holiday for next year. We've got a UK holiday booked for this August. I want to do a European city break this Christmas but I'm not sure that will come off.

gvb8 · 25/07/2021 21:26

@Stillgoings thanks, will have a look Smile

QueenCarrot · 25/07/2021 21:27

@nancy75

I’m moving my 2020 holiday, that became my 2021 holiday to 2022! I think we could probably go this year but I can’t be doing with the stress of ever changing rules
Us too!
