You can test positive for up to 90 days afterwards.

Yes, I thought it was ages. Right at the start of all this those people on the cruise ship off the coast of Japan couldn;t leave quarantine facilities as they kept testing positive weeks and weeks after they'd had covid.

Someone I know still has it 4 weeks after her first positive test. The doctor told her people can still test positive and/or have symptoms for 12 weeks after contracting it. I assumed it was over for most people within a week like flu.
