Apologies (I know I should know this) but trying to work out what to do - if someone that my child travels with to school on the bus tests positive on a LFT do they now need to isolate?

We never sent anyone home from buses at my school, which has confused all the teaching staff no end. So maybe/maybe not

Thanks @hedgehogger1 - so I guess it’s not official advice then that someone has to isolate who has been in contact

I’ll order my child a test anyway though

school should tell you if they consider your child needs to isolate (ie considers they have been a close contact) if you are not informed they need to isolate then they dont

Thought this was dealt with by track & trace from today - schools not responsible fur contact tracing as of midnight Sunday

Thanks @fresiaboquet

In our provision anyone who had been on a bus or in class with the person testing positive would have to self isolate.

It can never hurt to do a lft. Even if it’s just to put your mind at ease.

Yes will do - good idea - we did do one last night which was negative

Keep doing LFT’s for a few days or get a PCR to be on the safe side. My son tested positive Wednesday and despite symptoms from Wednesday my LFts were negative until Saturday when very light so I did a PCR, just came through tonight as positive. Attached a photo to show how light the first positive LFT was on Saturday compared to today. So be sure to shine a torch on it
