Can't find any guidance on whether we have to continue self isolating given the rule has ended today.

T&T have called us every morning, but no call today (yet).

Assuming we need to continue as the rule has changed for "arrivals"...anyone else found any info about this situation?

Has the rule ended today?? I thought it was 16th August?

Afaik you have to stay with the rules on the date you arrive, ignore any changes either way that took effect after that date

From the guidance for fully vaccinated arrivals from Amber countries:
If you arrived in England before 4am on Monday 19 July, you must continue to quarantine for 10 days and take day 2 and day 8 COVID-19 tests.

You can't stop isolating unfortunately.

Thanks @HumpHumpWhale, that's what I was looking for and couldn't find it.

@Shapesorted believe that date is for exposure to Covid. As of today you don't have to self isolate returning from amber country if you are double jabbed and not coming from France

Yes, similar boat. I asked the Track and Trace person and they said I have to do my full 10 days and the day 2 and 8 tests. Meanwhile people coming from amber countries today can just go about their business. It's a bit farcical.

Only if the people are resident in the UK. I'm British, double jabbed and in an Italian region with about 38 cases but would have to quarantine because I'm not a UK resident.

Yep, it doesn't stop on the 19th for arrivals prior to that, unfortunately. We arrived home last night from an amber country. Very annoying! I understand there has to be a cut off date though, just bad timing on our part. My husband and I both got a T&T call this afternoon.

DH came back for the Middle East on the 16th. He still needs to self-isolate and will do his test to release on Wed. We've accepted it as part and parcel of travelling and have factored it into our plans. Lots of house improvements going on Grin he's home for 3 weeks but now he's doubled jabbed he won't have to Isolate when he returns to KSA
