Track and trace… do you get ‘double pinged?!’

Was at a wedding last weekend and the Bride and many other guests have since tested positive. I’m expecting to get ‘pinged’ in the next day or two (and actually isolating as of now since we know we’ve had positive contact) but was just wondering if I’m likely to get multiple ‘pings’ since there will be lots of people reporting positive contact… so the day of the wedding itself we were around positive people and so will get traced through this, but will we then ‘ping’ again through the check in system on the app once the hotel we were staying at is made aware, or will track and trace see we’re already isolating?! I’m just trying to predict how many days needed away from work so they can plan… if I’ll get another ‘ping’ 3/4 days in this is really going to drag on!! (To add, obviously if we start to show symptoms in the household I know we’ll restart the 10 days from then anyway… I’m working on the basis that we’ll all stay Covid free, fingers crossed!!)

Wouldn't it be lovely if the government had actually invested in a system that did track and trace where the infection was as some other more successful countries have.

Thanks @swapsicles… this is the situation I was imagining in my rambling OP… I wasn’t aware that T&T and the app were separate until tonight, but then again I was thinking it was track and trace and not test and trace so I’ve clearly not been paying enough attention

We were definitely in close contact on Friday so will count that as day 0 and take it from there… I’ll expect the T&T call imminently as I know our names have been shared.
