Moderna jab

I recently registered for the Covid jab and will be offered either Pfizer or Moderna. All my friends and family were given Pfizer and had no side effects other than a sore arm.

Has anybody had Moderna and had any side effects particularly around changes to their period?

I had a look online and it seems that Pfizer and Moderna are basically the same just a different brand. Does anybody know if that is right?

My period was a week early after the first jab. I also bled for 8 days as opposed to the usual 3 or 4. I’ve never had this sort of thing before

Didn't affect mine but both times I was due on imminently. Saying that, my period is often changed by stress and medication so I was surprised nothing happened.

I had Moderna and no period-related side effects.

My daughters both had Pfizer and no period-related side effects.

Yes - DD2's is as well. We went on holiday about 6 weeks after her vaccination and that brought on her period a week early.

Thanks all fortunately I have an appointment for Pfizer this week all my friends had this with no ill effects. 😀

I had my second Moderna vaccine on Thursday afternoon and was laid out yesterday with an awful headache which paracetamol just did not touch, bit of a fever, body aches etc
Thankfully had a good nights sleep last night but I've still got this lingering headache. Has anyone else had this?

Ugh I had second Moderna yesterday morning and have not slept a wink tonight yet, burning up and everything aches. Did not have anything like this the first time! Not really a headache per se, just an everything ache 🤒

I had my 2nd moderna on Friday morning and when I woke on Saturday I thought my head was going to explode. The worst headache I've ever had. I had to take both aspirin and paracetamol to get any relief at all. It was still lingering the next day but has gone now.
