Positive- when to seek medical attention?

I got a positive LFD on Tuesday, confirmed by a positive PCR on Wednesday. I feel awful. Absolutely no energy, aching, really loud tinnitus that makes it impossible to sleep. The worst and most recent symptom is now breathlessness. I feel as though someone’s sitting on my chest and I’m having to take the tiniest shallow breaths. It’s really scary. Is there anything I can do at home to ease this, or at what point do I seek help? Is it a GP on Monday job? I’ve got kids at home…

How are you now op? I second the others, 999 if you're struggling to breathe x

It does sound as though you need to be seen OP. Worrying that you are so unwell after two vaccine doses, but hopefully that will help you fight it off and not get any worse.

Please don’t put off seeking medical assessment. The earlier the better if intervention is needed with covid (and most medical things tbf).

How are you now OP? I’d echo the other advice about not waiting until you seek medical attention

Planty13 · 17/07/2021 21:44

Wishing you well OP

Saying it bluntly here- You should be in a hospital not on a forum. Hope you are getting the medical attention you need op.

Anyone with similar experience- Please don’t delay seeking help if you are struggling to breathe. Things can spiral out of control extremely quickly.
