What happens once you get a positive result?

Waiting for test results. Do we inform anyone been in contact with or do we have to tell track and trace? I’d rather do it.

If you test positive you don't need to tell Test and Trace, they'll contact you to ask for your close contacts. However it can be days before they contact them so it's prudent to do so yourself.

Up to you. They will ask who you have been in contact with. You may wish to get in there first.

I’m awaiting test results.
I will be straight on the phone contacting work to let them know, I imagine I would be quicker than test and trace.

Advice is to tell your contacts -particlatly school/work so they can sort out isolation.
Test and trace will give you the option of completing an online questionnaire. If it isnt completed you get a phone call to complete it with them. Then your contacts get a message informing them they need to isolate for 10 days.
If the other members of the family are positive you all need to do the same via test and trace. If they are only your contacts then they dont need to tell anyone to isolate as their contacts are contacts of a contact iyswim
