Did you lose it only slightly?

I lost it totally. and taste.

Had covid at Christmas, lost smell and taste completely.
Taste cake back within a couple months, smell still has not fully returned, I can only really smell things if they're strong and right under my nose.... I remain hopeful... but also realistic that other people have had far worse long covid symptoms which have an even greater impact on quality of life.

HSHorror · 15/07/2021 11:56

Did you have any other Covid symptoms?

I just had the headache from hell and tinnitus. The headache was REALLY bad, I could not get up until I had taken co-codamol and waited an hour for it to take effect.

I never had any cough, or sniffly nose or breathing issues. I am 51 and in the vulnerable group. I had it before any vaccines.

Smell and taste not back to normal after 7 months, but getting there.

One of my sons lost his sense of smell but had no other symptoms
Are you debating whether to test?
You should do a PCR

Smell was fine after 20min. Maybe it was allergies?
