Booked a week all inclusive with DH & the dc... Starting to regret it, not so much worried about covid, we're double jabbed & will be very careful as always... I'm more worried about pool closures, restricted pool & facility opening omg times, possible out break in resort... Can anyone reassure me? I'm afraid my dc are hoping it will be like old times😢

Depends where you are going. Most of Covid restrictions in Spain have to do with nightlife. Unfortunately, cases are going up thanks to the younger population - unvaccinated, no distancing and having big parties.

If you are fully vaccinated, it should be ok. If you are worried about facilities being closed, get in touch with your hotel. They are usually very good answering back with a response to your questions.

Sorry to hear that. It’s a reason I moved my 2019 holiday yet again to next year because the complex I was staying in said there we would need to book pool slots and my DC are used to being in a pool from 9am-6pm ever day. I would research surrounding facilities and activities before you go if worst came to the worst.

Do you mean your 2020 holiday?

I was in Mallorca last week. No time slots by the pool or anything like that. Could just walk into restaurants, no need to book in advance. We had to choose from 2 slots for breakfast but each one was for an hour and a half, so fine.

dalmatianmad · 15/07/2021 08:54

A work colleague had just come back from Spain and said they had to book slots to go in the pool. I would ring and check your hotel policy.

Thanks for the replies, I emailed the hotel so hopefully we'll hear back today... There's no recent reviews on trip advisor.. We're going to the Costa del Sol... We don't usually go all inclusive but I felt it would be easier this year just to stayed hotel based...

@CallMeRisley Yes. Meant Summer 2020. The last 18 months have blurred into one!

Kate3150 · 15/07/2021 09:04

Interested to hear more people’s accounts on what the all inclusive experience is like at the moment? X

Kate3150 · 15/07/2021 09:04

I suppose it’s also subject to change depending on Covid rates over the summer 🙄

Ha ha I did wonder if you’d had some premonition in 2019 of things to come Grin

I was in Mallorca last week. No slots for pool and only the a-la-carte restaurant required bookings. The only issue was that not all of the hotel's restaurants were open so the others were quite busy. Beach was busy-ish but fine. Never felt unsafe and lets face it you spend all your time outdoors when on holiday. Don't regret going, we had a lovely time.

Branleuse · 15/07/2021 09:41

i think it will be a lovely break. Spend more time at the beach if the pools are closed. Probably safer anyway. Get some sun. Obviously will be less entertainment than other years and more low-key fun, but you can still have sun and sea and icecreams

We're going on Saturday. I emailed the hotel and they said no time slots for pool etc. Also said they're only booking up to 60% capacity so hopefully should be ok. Ours is AI too.

Alondra · 15/07/2021 10:07

Glad you emailed the hotel, they are the only only ones to know if there are restrictions. Being Costa del Sol, I think you'll have a great time.
