Vaccination status for travel

We are travelling to Spain tomorrow. Have paid a lot of money for our 2 children to have their covid fit to fly tests and my husband downloaded the nhs app tonight so he could show his vaccination status to the Spanish authorities at the airport. However he’s been informed that it can take up to a week for his details to be registered. Is this true? When I did my app back in March it took an hour. Any tips on what we can do? Our flight is 7.20pm tomorrow

It may be processed more quickly. Did he upload proof of ID?

Yes, photo of diving llicense and a self video talking didn’t occur to us that this would be a problem

Oh god I'd kill him. Mine took a while to show up, it was the day after I downloaded the app that they both showed.

It should be okay by 7.20pm hopefully

Both mine and DH’s came through within the hour. I’m sure it’ll be fine. Have a lovely holiday.

@Chocolatefrenzy
Sorry to disturb you on your hols, can I ask what time and date your kids did their fit to fly tests before travelling?
We are debating when is best, as have a midday flight Sunday, so I am thinking we do tests Friday for a result Saturday to travel hopefully Sunday?

Chocolatefrenzy · 18/07/2021 10:17

You have to work out what time you arrive at your destination then go back 48 hrs, the kids needs their tests in that window and their results available before you check in. (Some countries is 72 hrs so check) we landed at 11pm on Thursday which meant a test on weds am with the result before midnight the same day as next day result tests wouldn't be done in time for a flight. Hope this makes sense x
