Just that really 😁 currently isolating due to being a close contact but still negative on LFT and no symptoms. Hoping I've dodged it!

Me. Close contact and isolated twice. Didn't catch it.

LouNatics · 14/07/2021 10:53

I’ve been exposed as a close contact three times, and two of my children twice each, we’ve not had covid.

TheBatPig · 14/07/2021 10:53

I was twice and didn't catch it. Once was in a car so at close proximity too. My child has been exposed also at school and did not appear to get it either (didn't test them just isolated). Both occasions prior to being vaccinated.

I have it. Dh hasn't. Share a bed!!

PositiveLife · 14/07/2021 10:54

Yes. Dd2 tested positive on a pcr test.
Myself, dd, dp, ex-h, ex-h's partner & dc all negative (on pcr tests). None of us got any symptoms and I didn't isolate dd2 within the house (by which I mean, she mixed with me and Dd1 in the house as I didn't make her stay in her room)

Only 10% of close contacts go on to develop symptoms. I guess it depends how close the contact was and if either of the parties were vaccinated.

ColettesEarrings · 14/07/2021 11:04

Between my two children they've supposedly been close school contacts 5 times and never caught it.

I looked after DH with Covid… vomitted, had the runs, was just a roving germ bomb basically. He ended up in ICU. The kids and I were fine! Weird but good!!

NotSonicTheHedgehog · 14/07/2021 11:08

Someone in our office got it. Not of their work close contacts went on to. All were double vaxxed

NotSonicTheHedgehog · 14/07/2021 11:08

None

Touch wood - my son. Twice

Silkiecats · 14/07/2021 11:28

My DS 3 times

SamusIsAGirl · 14/07/2021 11:30

Nope. Because the close contact was in the lab near me and it was the Bluetooth not Covid that got me since there were 2 panes of glass and a sheet of perspex between me and him.

littletinyboxes · 14/07/2021 11:35

DH (teacher) has just finished isolating after quite a few of his primary school class tested positive. He's taken daily LF tests and had 2 PCRs (at school request- one when he started isolating and another before going back to school) and all negative. He is double vaccinated so I can only assume that has worked well for him, since the classroom is small, children don't wear masks and ventilation was limited because of heavy rain.

Yes once just after Christmas when cases were sky high. My son was a close contact in school in March.

StCharlotte · 14/07/2021 11:41

Me. A colleague had it and passed it to four colleagues, her whole family and a friend before she was symptomatic. I work closest to her and she had also given me a lift somewhere. Was not surprised to be pinged but was very (happily) surprised not to catch it. Long may that last.

Bythemillpond · 14/07/2021 11:53

Dd 3 times with groups where there were very close contact. Everyone else tested positive but dd
