Just that really. Can you see a faint line?

And don't forget there is a line of something inside the test that the liquid has to react with, is it that you're seeing?

AddsVsGeorgs · 13/07/2021 18:19

It has been a clear basic rule not to eat or drink for 30 minutes before
Its not new

It says it on the box @WarriorN

WarriorN · 13/07/2021 18:28

Yep, but the number of people who don't know that is huge. Including my research scientist friend working with her husband who organises the vaccines for the nhs!

WarriorN · 13/07/2021 18:38

And many secondary staff said this was not part of their training.

We all also had to throw out one set out guidance for another.

2021mumma · 13/07/2021 18:41

I had a test like that last night, tested again this morning and line much clearer 😬 feeling terrible

anastasiakrupnik · 13/07/2021 20:34

@WarriorN

School primary staff were told to not eat for 30 mins before tests.

I do wonder the impact of that on false negatives.

Thanks WarriorN, I didn't know that!

I mean, I might have read it before doing the first test (I didn't) but by month 5 I'm not consulting the instructions each time. I only found out we should be registering every test from a mumsnet post too (also in the instructions).

buckleten · 13/07/2021 20:34

My daughter has ttested positive tonight, and it was very very clear and instant. We did three from different packs and all the same 🙁

BoomChicka · 13/07/2021 21:16

DP has covid, every lft we've ever done before looks like the OP, his positive ones were totally different, two lines appeared straight away and the test line was as dark as the control line. Interested to see what your PCR says if you update!

BoomChicka · 13/07/2021 21:18

Trying to attach..

Faint positive?
Lemons1571 · 13/07/2021 21:22

My kids tests both had a faint grey line like yours. They were both pcr positive. My LFT had no sign of any line grey pink or otherwise, I was pcr negative. So I reckon you’ll get a positive pcr.

BadgerFace · 13/07/2021 21:31

My LFT was super faint like yours. Positive PCR. My understanding is that because LFT are less sensitive than PCR if you get a positive LFL it’s very likely you’re positive (unless the test had been influenced by eating/drinking within 30 mins or similar).

coffeepleeease · 15/07/2021 22:46

Got my PCR result, positive!

Poor you. I hope you stay reasonably well. Interesting thread-just shows how easy it is to miss a positive.

mariomushroom · 15/07/2021 23:20

This is really interesting, it looked grey to me like an evap line on a pregnancy test. Hope you’re not feeling unwell OP and any symptoms stay mild Flowers

Tilly18 · 03/08/2021 21:41

OK so I'm driving myself mad.. So wondering if anyone can see the line? I'm sure I can see something. Thinking it might be an evap line? What's your thoughts? X

Omg wrong thread sorry!! 🙈

Konkon22 · 07/12/2021 18:41

Hi everyone
I found out I was pregnant in august and in September I found out I had a missed miscarriage and I had a D&C to remove pregnancy. I went back after a month and turns out there was some tissue left over so I had to take the tablet which is the medical miscarriage management. It’s been 3 weeks now and I just took a pregnancy test which is showing a faint positive. Has anyone had anything similar? I’m scared because I really want to be pregnant :( but I don’t know if anything’s left over? What do you guys think left over or new pregnancy?

kimlo · 07/12/2021 18:45

could be either. Have you had a negative since?

You would be better starting a new thread not in the covid section.

Sorry I searched faint positive and didn't realise it was a Covid thread. I'm assuming that everything must've gone away no more tissue left over since going through both the surgery and medical management (the tablet) of course I'm not a doctor and I can't assume it's just what I hope! I can't get a doctors appointment til next week so just wanted to hear others opinions!
kimlo · 07/12/2021 19:22

I can see what happened. I just think you'll get answers from people with relevant experience in the right section.

I really hope that it's a new positive for you.
