How long are test results taking these days?

We’ve had 3 in the last week on different days-20hrs was the longest, 14 shortest

Mine came back yesterday! It took about 30 hours from time of test.

Posted mine out Friday at half 2 for 5pm pick up .... Still.waiting on results

Done last week. Drive thru. SE. Took one day + six hours.

DS had one on Weds around 5
Results fri night about 10.
Def longer than they were up until quite recently- they were taking less than 24 hours then (when there wasn’t much about).

Came back today 1 pm, nearly 4 days after posting.

Ours was 30 hrs in the end - not too bad but did mean most of a working day lost between husband and I. I had taken for granted them just coming back by 8am 😭

Home test ordered Saturday night, delivered Sunday morning, test taken and sent back same day via priority post box and had results back 6:30 this morning - super quick!

I'm in the north east.

West Yorkshire, in a high rate area, tested 11am last Saturday at a walk-in centre - results back 9.30am Sunday morning.

Tests are taking longer at the moment as they’ve changed guidance to close contacts should get a test, where as that was never the case, I do one weekly for work on a Wednesday and I normally get it back Thursday morning.
Last weeks I had to wait til Sunday.

4 year groups in my dd secondary school went down and students self isolation were made to get a test before they could go back to school!

Mine came back around 15.00

So about 27 hours

I'm currently waiting on results for both my dc! I'm so impatient!

How on earth are test & trace going to function when we’re at 100,000 cases a day?! I don’t know if the government have been questioned on this at any of the briefings but there’s no way the system’s going to cope with these sort of numbers, surely?

Does anyone know if positive results are sent sooner; or if all results are taking longer at present? Waiting over 80 hours here... 111 had huge queues on the phone

Nottingham, drive through, 24 hours to the minute for ours

I went to Nottingham drive through at West Bridgford today, I hope mine are here in 24 hours! 🤞
Dd had hers at the walk in in Beeston so waiting on that too!

Anyone tested late evening? Did this affect results time? Waiting on a test taken about 7.30pm yesterday and not sure when it would have been collected from centre.

Yes me. I had a test at a drive through at 5pm yesterday and still no results.

Fingers crossed we both hear soon CatAlice. I hate the waiting - find it hard to focus on anything else. I have previously tested in the morning and results have usuly.come through early hours of following day. Wasn't sure what time a later test would have been collected from the centre.
