Has anyone's periods changed since having the vaccine?

Had my Pfizer jab around 4 weeks ago and I have noticed my period is a lot heavier than normal.
I have PCOS and I am on the pill to regulate this, I can normally work out to the hour when I will get my period, this month it was early and I'm now in day five and it's still heavy.
Normally the first day is light, tmi,, but it's brown spotting, heavier on day 2/3 and day 4 back to brown again. Minimum pain on day 1.
This cycle it started with heavy red bleeding from the start and like I said day 5 and it's still going strong, also coupled with period pains. Im not getting worked up over it but this has never happened before and I wondered if it's linked to the jab. I believe in COVID so not part of a conspiracy groups that are all over my Facebook and I would still of got the jab even if they did affect my cycle but I would of liked to have been pre warned, anyone else noticed a difference?

Weird

Cindy974 · 09/07/2021 23:51

Yes over 13,000 women have reported changes

www.google.co.uk/amp/s/news.sky.com/story/amp/covid-19-more-than-13-000-women-report-changes-to-periods-after-having-vaccine-but-experts-say-fertility-not-affected-12350899

Make sure you also report to the yellow card scheme

Hophop26 · 09/07/2021 23:52

If you look through the other posts on her LOADS of women have had noticed changes to their periods after the vaccine, all brands. Thousands of women have yellow carded it yet apparently it’s in our heads and no reason to connect it to the vaccine.

I have never been late except when pregnant and clockwork to within a day. Have a lot of history of bad gynae issues so I’m very aware of my cycles etc, used to planning my life around them. Had first dose AZ mid Feb, 2nd dose mid May - I’ve had 1 period in that time, none at all for 3 months from the 1st dose!!

Yes could be a coincidence and other life reasons, stress etc that could have effected it, but never has before so seems very odd…

@Hophop26 ah really, I hadn't seen any post relating to the Jab and periods, how can it be in our heads, we know our own bodies Angry

Yep, struggling right now waiting to see if period arrives. Still very glad to have been jabbed though.

IgnoranceIsStrength · 10/07/2021 07:16

3 days late and counting after 2nd vaccine. Was a week late and super heavy after 1st. Did report it and find myself increasingly annoyed that it is being ignored.

Sparklingbrook · 10/07/2021 07:33

Yes my clockwork cycle has gone haywire. Sad

lilsquish · 10/07/2021 07:44

had pfizer around 8 weeks ago, first period after was normal. second was 5 days late which very unusual.

iv been tracking them for over a yr now as TTC and never normally late.

worried its going to affect TTC.

I'm due my second vac next week and dont know what to do

Twickerhun · 10/07/2021 07:46

No period for 6 weeks after my second vaccine. I had the Oxford AstraZeneca. Could well be a coincidence - I’m in my early 40s. But it’s odd it’s just totally stopped.

LakeFlyPie · 11/07/2021 00:17

I missed a period after Covid infection, then went back to usual cycle which was unaffected by either of the Pfizer vaccinations I had subsequently

Haveyoubrushedyourteeth · 11/07/2021 00:27

Yes. I've got a coil so never have more than a bit of spotting about 3 or 4 times a year, but in the 8 weeks following my first jab I had 3 (what I would class as) "proper" periods.

StellaVirgin · 11/07/2021 00:27

I'm always like clockwork. I was two weeks late for my first period which was normal. Then had another period two weeks later. Then nearly a week late and it was so ridiculously heavy, flooding and massive clots, it was finished in two days. Usually 5-7 days. Wait and see what the next one brings...

Serenachacha · 11/07/2021 00:38

Yeah, I haven’t had a period since and I’m not pregnant.
