If The bastard Mtutating COVID virus was a person, who would they be?

Madonna. Because she's always changing and seems to get everywhere?

Nigel Farrage - total bastard leaving a nasty legacy and always in the news?

One of my colleagues.
Rides roughshod over everyone and everything using you for their own ends, mutates into the victim something else when challenged and generally fucks over anyone they come into contact with one way or another.

Rough week.

ablutiions · 09/07/2021 09:30

@Iquitit they sound charming. Sad

Trump.

PotassiumChloride · 09/07/2021 10:31

Covid is just trying to get through the day and propagate it’s species, like all the rest of us.

Orf1abc · 09/07/2021 10:38

I was going to say Farage as well. Achieves nothing good, leaves a heap of chaos wherever he goes, and when one hate filled campaign winds down, he changes tack and heaps another load of chaos and upset.

TheVampiresWife · 09/07/2021 10:42

Not one person but a bunch of them. The Tory government - preys on the most vulnerable, disproportionately affects the most disadvantaged and leaves everything fucked in its wake.

I could get behind this.

Props to you for starting a lighthearted thread @ablutiions. I’ve been debating starting one asking if this pandemic has revealed which one of your friends/family would hide a zombie bite but am far too scared of having my arse handed to me for starting a ruck Grin

ablutiions · 09/07/2021 14:05

@Cornettoninja sod those miserable buggers who want to turn lighthearted into a misery festGrin

It can't all be doom and gloom (even if it is )

I asked my DS the zombie bite question (love it btw) and he offered up one of his friends because 'he's so out of it he would notice if he got bitten' Grin

The zombie bite one is me.Too much on at work/home to deal with being a zombie. I'd try to ignore it and hope it goes away.

Chrispackhamspoodle · 09/07/2021 14:10

Covid though...I feel kind of sorry for it. It's just doing it's thing and it gets compared to Farage and Trump.

Henry I of England

  • knowledge of his earliest days a bit shadowy
  • had a crown
  • travelled around quite a bit
  • not averse to invading another country and causing discord
  • reproduced like mad
Crown

I thought it had already been personified as a child/young adult 18 or below. Isn't that why they are locked up repeatedly while over-18s go to the football, pub, on holiday?

KurtWilde · 09/07/2021 14:41

My exh. Always turning up to wreck a perfectly nice day Grin

I’ve already decided in a zombie apocalypse, I’d just go outside and wait for them to get me. I’d much rather start a new life as a zombie with everyone else than spend the rest of how ever long I had left running and hiding from them a la Will Smith. That would be far too exhausting…
nancywhitehead · 09/07/2021 15:17

Look up "Kissing the Coronavirus" on Amazon.

GlacindaTheTroll · 09/07/2021 15:29

Someone really mercurial

Usually quite normal and kind, occasionally a bit off, then suddenly BAM out of nowhere they really turn on someone.

Villanelle?

OutwiththeOutCrowd · 09/07/2021 15:32

What about Arnie? A rampaging Terminator, endless sequels and always the promise 'I'll be back.'

Known to have engaged in some stealth reproduction too.

herecomesthsun · 09/07/2021 16:24

The sneaky bastard that looks harmless but then stabs you in the back. And really um sucks the life out of you. And - gets around.

JaneJeffer · 09/07/2021 17:37

I doubt I could hide a zombie bite with all the fuss my body kicks up over midgies.

Surviving a zombie appocalypse looks like bloody hard work, although less mindnumbingly tedious than a pandemic, and you don't get villified for running for over an hour Grin

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 09/07/2021 18:34

That person who turns up uninvited at a party, is very opinionated and constantly in your face, follows you when you make an excuse about getting another drink, and is still there at 4am when everyone else has gone. When you suggest calling them a taxi, just says, 'Nah, I'm fine'.

Or Father Stone from Father Ted.

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 09/07/2021 18:39

Actually - original COVID was Father Stone. Then it mutated into Delta, which is Father Noel Furlong.

ifonly4 · 09/07/2021 18:42

One of my bosses - not the one who's the best one I've ever had by way , the other one.
