If you are double vaccinated with Pfizer and relocating from an amber country can your (barcoded) vaccines be loaded on to the NHS app ?

the NHS app just reflects your health record which is collated by GPs and hospitals. I'd imagine speaking to your GP would be the first port of call.

I dont think so. Im sure i read somewhere that the certification etc that the nhs app can provide is for UK given vaccines.

You should look into what sort of certification is being issued from the country where you received your vaccines.

I guess is might be to avoid different formats etc from different countries making it too easy to forge an authentic looking certificate, but im pretty sure that to avoid the uk quarantine after travelling, it needs to be double vaccinated in the uk, for uk residents.

So you don't show your covid /vaccine status via the NHS app ?
Here our apps shows your status and and you have to show it to enter and scan into shops, restaurants, malls and all public events etc. It also records exposures and monitors qurantine periods.

It does, it reflects your GPs record if they gave it to you, or the NHS if given at a vaccination centre. AFAIK, there are no non-NHS vaccination services in the UK.

Your vaccination is loaded on for you, we can’t add anything to the app.

Well, we can make appointments or request prescriptions. That is about it.

If you have proof of your vaccine abroad a GP may add it to the NHS app for you.

We also scan into places using another app. However, this particular app is facing a lot of controversy at the moment.

The GP can't add proof abroad onto the app. They can only add it to the immunisations section, which won't generate the QR code.

GP practices don't have access to the system used to record vaccines. Some colleagues have had success once back in the UK by going to the vaccination centre with proof and getting a senior person to manually add it (but of course you have to get back to the UK first).

One of my DC had two vaccines abroad and has a vaccine card, but it’s proving to be impossible to get them acknowledged now they are back in the U.K. It’s made me wonder whether they should get vaccinated all over again, but I assume that’s not good for you.

Sounds kind of mad to have to be revaccinated when KSA where I am recognises the same vaccines as the UK and allows you to upload vaccines from abroad to their system.
