Sore throat

So my throat suddenly felt sore last night, more like burning at the back near tonsils. Nose slightly congested this morning. Nothing that I would even usually question, but in these times everything makes me worry.
Taken LFT last night and this morning. Both negative. Is that it, do I just resume business as usual? OTT post I know, I just never know what’s right/wrong when it comes to things like this now

Decided to lay low for a day or 2, kids have gone to school today, will do another lateral flow tonight. Throat is no longer sore, but itchy, and driving me crazy. Dosed up on lots of lemon and honey and first defence spray for now. Thanks all!

Our local health board (in Wales) has been asking anyone with a wider range of symptoms including cold or flu-like symptoms like stuffy/runny nose, sore throats, sneezing or hoarseness to test. As a result almost all my DD2's yr 5 class have tested over the past couple of weeks with similar. All have been negative but this thread shows that others have been positive and I believe the delta variant is more cold-like than the other 3 main symptoms. The government site still only lists the 3 - cough/temperature/loss of smell or taste and it really needs to be updated. I'd imagine that many will have been put off going for a test as they don't fit the original criteria.

Sore throat, congested, now streaming nose. This is my 4 th virus since the new year, each time my child has had to take time off school until negative result from PCR has been received. Last absence from school, the secretary informed me if my son has anymore absence, they will inform a third party. So, this virus i have now, i didnt get tested for, but wouldve if there was no pressure from the school.
