I have a sore throat and a tiny bit of a blocked nose. No other symptoms.
Two lateral flow test have come back negative am I being over the top? I work from home and haven't been anywhere apart from a quiet pub beer garden in the last seven days...

I wouldnt personally test with those as they arent the three main symptoms.

Unless you get another symptom or are in a study or have been told to isolate by T&T or the app you’ll surely have to lie to get a test so why would you?

JamieFrasersSassenach · 05/07/2021 16:35

I would phone 119 and ask them - I know of more than one person who had similar symptoms to you, had negative lateral flow tests but after phoning 119 took a PCR test which came back positive.

I think you should but the government say you aren't eligible so no.

Okay thanks guys, will do as I'm told by Bozza and sit tight. Not planning on going anywhere apart from runs and dog walks in fields until Friday so if symptoms persist/get worse will look at getting a test later in the week :)

I'm sure at one point they told everyone to get a test even if they were just feeling a bit coldy. I wonder why they changed it.
