Anyone had Long Covid and caught it again more recently?

I hope it's rare but I am reading more people saying it's happening.

I am keen (I think?!) to understand how a reinfection has been for anyone that has had Long Covid. I had it last March, was pretty unwell and in hospital twice but not admitted and that turned into Long Covid which I am mostly recovered from now with some lingering heart problems. I have had one vaccine but am getting increasingly worried that the vaccine won't protect me against getting it / long covid again.

I am sort of hoping I get no replies to this as it would imply it's rare to get it twice if you've had the long variety of Covid but I have a feeling that won't be the case!!

I can't help with your question but am watching with interest. I was very unwell in March 2020 and still have a few lingering symptoms.

Well at least so far we haven't caught it again @runningshorts. I am clinging on to the thought that if I do after already having had it once and having one vaccine I will be less unwell or at least for not as long!!!

Yes it's good news we haven't had it again yet, I'm keeping my fingers crossed! The vaccine helps reduce hospitalisation so I imagine it may reduce levels of long covid... hopefully! I will carry on being cautious.

Bumping this up again but very encouraged that nobody has actually replied to say they have had it!
