When will requirement to self isolate after exposure to a positive case end?

Rates are sky high. It’s hard to socialise now without coming into contact with positive cases. Happy to isolate if I’m actually positive. But if we’re double jabbed when does the requirement to isolate for ten days stop?

Hopefully July 19th but it almost certainly be in for September when schools go back. It’s unsustainable.

It is in the news it's on the front page today, {confused]

@Orangesandlemons77 - we’re not discussing quarantine after travel. We’re discussing isolating after close contact with a confirmed case. Completely different scenarios.

Quarantine for travel will pretty much end this month given amber wine have to isolate if vaccinated

Rumoured to star 26/7

It’s been on news all week

Watapalava · 03/07/2021 09:51

Wine = won’t

Potentially no isolation for double jabbed...

My husband and I are both double jabbed. Means fuck all tho cos we have a 4 year old. No one (in the media at least) seems to have thought to ask about that.

This isn't about quarantine after travel

"Normal life even after contact with Covid case

Fully vaccinated people who have been in contact with a coronavirus sufferer will be free within weeks to carry on life as normal with no need to take daily tests, The Times has learnt.

In the clearest sign yet of ministers’ plans to replace virus restrictions with a focus on personal responsibility, they intend to drop all legal requirements on those who have had both jabs if they encounter a confirmed case."

Orangesandlemons77 · 03/07/2021 12:41

Also mentioned here on BBC but says no final decision has been made

"...ministers consider allowing fully jabbed people to avoid isolation and testing if exposed to Covid.
A Downing Street source said the need for isolation or daily tests for those who had received two coronavirus injections could be removed on 19 July.
First reported by the Times, the source added that no decision had yet been taken."

I wont be doing either. Dd nursery rang on thurs to say another child in her class tested positive she has to isolate and test blah blah. Shall be doing neither. Shes not sick so no need. This madness needs to stop.

@Orangesandlemons77 dropping isolation and mandating for the double jabbed is hardly the same as doing away with track and trace and getting back to normal is it?
