I will do what the experts recommend as I know they are better informed than I could ever hope to be.

One of - I meant - sorry I was rushing

I just feel like we’re being pushed into this now and I’m worried.

Yep I am. Whatever keeps them in school!

No

Yes, my googling ability does not trump years and years of medical training. I have read medical journals, still doesn't mean I am informed.

AbsoluteMadness · 01/07/2021 17:06

I want a sane, rational discussion about the benefits vs the risks of vaccinating my children (and I mean the benefits and risks to them... my children aren’t here to protect adults), and then I will make a decision. But no one is willing to have a sane and rational discussion, it’s all screaming at each other about sacrificing kids.

itsgettingwierd · 01/07/2021 17:07

I am.

But my 16yo ds is fully vaccinated already.

I was happy for him to have it done but I did say ultimately it was his personal choice and so having it done was his decision.

RandomMess · 01/07/2021 17:08

I'm very grateful my DC are older teens and I don't have this dilemma tbh

@peachgreen

I will do what the experts recommend as I know they are better informed than I could ever hope to be.
The problem with this approach is that we are hearing what the media wants us to think the experts think.
sillysmiles · 01/07/2021 17:26

(and I mean the benefits and risks to them... my children aren’t here to protect adults)

Isn't the benefits the same really as any vaccination - a mixture of personal and public good?
