Delta variant symptoms?

DC has a runny nose, sneezing, sore throat, and is whinging all the time and refusing to eat. No fever. Could it be Covid? I’ve heard that Delta Covid has runny nose as a symptom.

I'd get a test just to be sure.

Can I just say I had symptoms of a bad cold but no cough. Through the Zoe app I booked a PCR test on Saturday. I sent it off Monday and got the results yesterday. It was negative. I was still feeling awful and coughing up and emitting all sorts of gunk from my nose. My Doctor asked questions about a sore throat, headaches and diarrhoea which are all symptoms of the new variant as well as many other things. I told him I had done the test and it was negative and then he said it sounded like a bacterial infection. If I hadn't had the test he said I would have had to do that first to rule out COVID. That would have delayed my treatment. I'm afraid I would get a test if you can so even if it isn't COVID. You can get the treatment you need.

I’m sure somebody must have said it already, but some areas now have additional walk in pcr testing sites that anybody can attend. Here they were advertised through out local council website.

Yes surge testing is a thing but not in my area as cases aren't that high.
That's why I lied snd said I had symptoms. Now that I'm clear about Zoe I will use that in future to log weird symptoms

To clarify, I have 4 of the top 5 symptoms according to Zoe for half vaccinated people. So it would have sent me anyway, I'm not wasting resources

I would lie. DS had D&V on day 1, then a sore throat, headache, runny nose on day 2, negative LFTs on both days but went for a PCR test anyway. It was COVID.

The symptoms need updating. It's ridiculous.
